We designed and built a new website for the Aberfoyle Hub Community Children’s Centre (AHCCC). AHCCC is a community based, not-for-profit organisation that provides quality care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

Some custom features we built for the website include a timetable of room vacancies, a detailed booking enquiry form, an animated homepage slideshow and a calendar to showcase centre events. Along with coding we wrote much of the persuasive copy and took many of the photos for the website in collaboration with the AHCCC committee and in-house staff.

One ‘feature’ worth noting is the main header navigation menu tabs. The curves at the bottom of each tab flare outwards instead of inwards which is impossible to achieve by setting border-radius in the CSS. To get around this, we built each curve by overlaying 9 CSS absolutely positioned triangles. With enough triangles of slightly different dimensions the straight edge of each triangle becomes imperceptible from a curve.
